Re: Warm enough to swim. The water is the coldest of the year in the spring, sometimes in the 60's and yes, it is way too cold for me in April! We like it in the fall when it is in the 80's. We go for 2 weeks every April/May and I don't think it has ever been 72 but even that feels cold when its 85-90 outside.

From the Villa del Palmar you can not see the Arch. You will need to take a Water Taxi or some other tour to see the arch. So it really comes down to alcohol consumption as Zegna_man said. Drinks at your resort will run (guessing) $7.50-$10 for drinks, a little less for beer. If you consumed most of your meals in town and a few at the resort, I would imagine you would spend $30-$40 per person per day (3 meals) not including alcohol.

I think a fun souvenir is the tequila in a bottle shaped like the Cabo Arch at Land's End. Miguelocos produces them with a good tequila from Jalisco and you can buy it in many stores around town. Another great bottle to bring home is Damiana. It's a sweet liqueur that's distilled with indigenous Baja grown herbs.

The actual road condition is quite good, and i've ridden worse roads in regards to safety.
