They have added the 2.5, 3, 4.25, 5 and 6 inch in the Python and added a 4 inch for the Anaconda. The New King Cobra is a small frame model equivalent to the old Colt Detective Special and Diamondback. As yet no after market accessories are available other then grips.
As an offshoot of Colt's old "D-Frame," the King Cobra is a small-framed gun with big-gun aspirations. If you have huge hands, you will find it to be small, but especially for the KC target it feels substantial without being overkill for smaller-handed people. 22685 posts · Joined 2013. #3 · Jan 25, 2015. The Pythons were supposedly more hand fitted than the Anacondas. The Pythons are in 38 Spl./357Mag while most. Anacondas are in 44 Mag. with some being in 45 Colt. The King Cobra is also a very well made 357 Mag pistol. that resembles the Python.

I just picked up a Colt King Cobra 22 to keep my S&W 617 and Ruger GP-100 .22 company. Having nice speedloaders for the Smith and Ruger are a big part of what make those guns enjoyable to shoot and so I was mildly concerned about what seemed like an absense of available speedloaders for the Colt. A shame Colt could not make this 22 revolver a bit more affordable. It is a D frame like their new King Cobra 357 mag which is what the old Colt Diamondback 38 Special was. The new 22 is a very nice looking revolver which they added the vent rib from the old 38 Special Diamondback and the 357 Python.
